Samsung CLP-600 Cartridges:
Page Yield: 4,000 Pages @ 5% Coverage
Compatibility: Samsung CLP-600, CLP-600N, CLP-650 and CLP-650N
The Samsung CLP-600 uses different print technology than it's predecessors, for this model Samsung have utilized the popular single pass, in-line, vertical print system favored by other printer manufacturers. The picture below shows the four toner cartridges vertically placed with the Transfer assembly housed on the open door.
The Cartridges are 'All in One' units with an expected yield of 4000 pages each. The cartridge is split into two sections placed one above the other and held together by two pins and a spring. Samsung as with previous models has also included a Chip to each cartridge which is located at the back of the drum section of the cartridge.
Chip replacements are available and were successfully used during our testing and qualifying of the AQC Group compatible replacement Samsung CLP-600 toners. Replacement Chips are available from AQC Group UK, please contact us for further information.
To split the cartridge into two sections is straightforward removal of the two housing pins. These two pins have an internal thread, so a simple screw can be gently inserted and pulled to remove each pin.
The OPC from the Drum section is easily removed by taking out the two C clips and the hold bar. Care must be taken when removing the bar.
Located inside the OPC drum unit is a Copper contact for the OPC drum. This can easily be damaged when removing the holding bar. If we are going to re-use the original OEM OPC unit it is essential we make sure this Copper contact is put back into place and has been checked for damage. To check the Copper contact we must remove the non-geared side of the OPC drum. Simply insert the bar and gently 'wiggle' it from side to side to loosen the glue and remove the plastic insert.
In the above picture we can clearly see how easily the contact points can be bent away and will no touch the bar when it is replaced.
The cartridge will still be accepted by the printer if you rebuild the cartridge and the Copper contact is not completing the circuit, however when you print no print reproduction will be seen from the problem cartridge. This is because no charge has been applied to the surface of the OPC drum.
Once we have removed the Copper contact we bend it back into its correct shape and replace it onto the back of the plastic insert we removed from the OPC drum unit earlier.
The Toner Hopper section of the Samsung CLP-600 cartridge is easily refilled by removing the plastic filler cap from the side of the cartridge, however we suggest for the best results using AQC Group replacement toner the Hopper unit should be cleaned thoroughly of ALL residual OEM toner first.
We advise the Developer roller and Doctor Blade also be cleaned of any original OEM toner and contaminants. To enable us to get to these components we must first remove the gears from one side of the cartridge.
On the flip side the contact plate also needs to be removed
Once both ends have been carefully removed the Developer roller can be lifted out of position for cleaning. This also allows us to clean or remove the Doctor Blade.
At the time of writing no aftermarket OPC drums were available for testing. All AQC Group tests were completed with used OEM OPC drums. We found the original OEM OPC drums wear rate is relatively good after the first cycle of OEM use, and performed well during the second cycle using our replacement toners.
The chart below shows our test results and comparisons can be made with the performance of the OEM original toner.

The AQC Group replacement toner for the Samsung CLP-600 printer comes in 150g bottles and 10kg bags. It is available today, please contact us for further information on pricing and shipping schedules.
