Reverse Engineering the Epson AcuLaser C2600 CartridgeStep 1 – Remove the two security screws from the coloured cartridge handle.
Step 2 – Remove the two screws holding the end cap in place
Step 3 – On the other side of the cartridge, remove the one screw and pop-up the end cap, revealing the cartridge gear section.
Step 4 – Using a small flat blade screwdriver gently lift out the plastic retaining clip holding the major white gear in place. Remove the other gears except the black gear held in place by the small silver pin
Step 5 – Remove the Black gear, to do this on the other side of the cartridge slightly push inwards the adder roller, this forces it out the other side and allows easier removal of the retaining pin.
Step 6 – Back on the gear side remove all four screws (two black, two silver)
Step 7 – Remove the two DVR sleeves – this allows removal of the DVR assembly
Step 8 – Gently clean all the revealed cartridge components and reseat back into the cartridge shell
Step 9 – Place the gear end plate back onto the cartridge but do not yet re-insert the two silver screws – we first need to place the DVR sleeves back into position.
Step 10 – As we did previously, slightly push inwards the Adder roller to allow easier fitting of the black gear and retaining pin. Once in place re-insert all the other gear units.
Step 11 – On the other side of the cartridge replace the end cap to restrain the DVR
Step 12 – Gently prise out the hopper bung and refill with AQC Group UK compatible replacement Epson AcuLaser C2600 toner
Step 13 – CHIPS!! The cartridges secret weapon is located under the description label. The chip, supported by an Ariel informs the printer of toner usage and of course toner out!
Replacement chips are available
Alternatively you can dismiss chips by setting the printer to continue at toner out
