Looking at the P1006 Cartridge

There are two types of cartridge for these machines:

• CB435A – 1500 pages (5%) using the ISO/IEC 19752 test standards for printers LJ P1005 & P1006
• CB436A – 2000 pages (5%) using the ISO/IEC 19752 test standards for printers LJ M1522n (MFP), LJ M1522nf (MFP), LJ P1005, LJ P1006, LJ P1505, & LJ P1505n.

The toner is a CPT (Chemically Produced Toner) and is described as being ‘Spherically-Shaped’.

The Cartridge:

1. Remove End Plate

a. Remove the screw:

b. Lift out the Drum Shutter Spring:

c. Lift out the End Plate:

2. Split the two sections:

From right to left pull the hopper unit away from the opc drum unit:

3. The Toner Hopper:

4. Remove the End Plates:

5. Lift out the Magnetic Sleeve Contact Point:

6. The 'Mag' Sleeve can now be removed:

7. Remove the Doctor-Blade:

9. The OPC Drum Unit:

10. Remove the OPC Drum:

11. Remove the PCR Roller & Wiper-Blade
